Tasting Notes: 100% Clairette. Pale yellow in color with goldish hues. Honeysuckle, apricot, and honey. Done in th clairette de die tradition. Secondary fermination is done in the bottle without dosage. Bottled under pressure only after the secondary fermination. Dry with notes of honey apricot, citrus.

2018 Gassier Nostre Pais Blanc $20  

Tasting Notes: Coming all from the estate Bec Vineyard, located in the cool, southern part of the appellation, the 2018 Costières De Nîmes Nostre Païs Blanc checks in as a mix of 45% Grenache Blanc, 20% Roussanne, 20% Clairette, and the rest Viognier and Bourboulenc, raised in old barrels and concrete tank. Readers looking for a superb white to drink over the coming 2-3 years should snatch this up. It offers terrific notes of white peach, rose petal, crushed citrus, and spice. With a touch of White Burgundy class, medium body, beautiful freshness, and a great finish, it way over-delivers. Don’t miss it.

2018 Domaine du Vieux Lazaret CDP Rouge $50  

Tasting Notes: Pale plus dark red with clear purple rim. The nose is warm and beginning to show an attractive complexity characterized by understated red fruits and spice along with leather and tertiary notes. The palate is composed and lighter weight, again exhibiting a measure of bottle development in an appealing mix of red cherry and spice notes. There is a fine, balanced structure. This is an elegant, not heavyweight style expressing Cinsault and Grenache in particular, with the emphasis on finesse rather than power.
