Stellar Wines from Pinea with Brand Ambassador Hugo Del Pozzo

2021 Pinea Rose $65
Tasting Notes: 100% Tempranillo rosé, Estate fruit (La Encina vineyard). Fermentation in egg-shaped ceramic vessels, 5 months in Frencho oak barrels .
Delicate citrus notes and subtle floral aromas (roses) and abundant fresh fruit such as strawberry, raspberry, apricot, currants and black plums serve as prelude to deeper, more complex aromas of freshly baked patisserie, a gentle touch of toast with notes of biscuits and vanilla make up a mise-en-scène to defy the senses.  Great depth, abundant presence of fruit notes, minerality and subtle tannins make this a rosé ideal to be paired with spicy dishes.
2019 Pinea 17 $55
Tasting Notes: 100% Tempranillo, estate fruit (30-70 y.o. vines); aged 20 months in American and French oak barrels.
Highly perfumed, aromas of dark forrest berries and cherries; expressive cheerful tones of ripe blackberry, with a fine thread of vanilla and very mild notes of cedar and violets playing a supporting role.  Silky and velvety texture with round and deep finish. Complex and refreshing.
2014 Pinea - TexSom Gold Medal - $150
Tasting Notes: 100% Tempranillo, fruit from our oldest vines (90+), integral fermentation, 30 months aging in new french oak
Very intense aromas, rich in black fruit, predominantly blackberry, and bitter chocolate, coffee, cedar and smoky notes that give length and depth. Balanced and extremely elegant texture, abundant complexity that grows as the wine opens, blackberries and spices such as clove and black pepper, and tertiary flavors of wild mushrooms. It leaves a long, harmonious aftertaste. It all comes together in a long, lingering finish.
2017 Pinea - TexSom Platinum Medal - $150
Tasting Notes: 100% Tempranillo, fruit from our oldest vines (90+), integral fermentation, 24 months aging in new french oak
Opulent and majestic base reveals melange of aromas of forest berries and wild flowers with soft woody depth of spicy tones, abundant tannins and boldness in fruit that makes it remarkably generous for near-term drinking but that will also reward patient cellaring. Elegant velvety texture and rich from start to finish, tremendous complexity as the wine open and multiple tertiary flavors with noticeable wild mushrooms, chocolate and spices. Excellent body with abundant but not overpowering tannin and well integrated alcohol, achieving a perfect balance on its journey through the front, mid and back palate before a long, lingering finish.
