About the Wine

Jean Laurent is the third‐generation owner at the estate, but his family has been growing wine for centuries. With a strong commitment to sustainable agriculture and an almost fanatical devotion to quality, Champagne Jean Laurent has emerged as one of the premier grower‐producers in the Côte des Bar. Champagne Jean Laurent is a true expression of terroir.

With one of the oldest and richest histories in the region their winegrowing legacy is linked to that of a small village in the Côte des Bar, south of Champagne, Celles-sur-Ource. Originally, Athanas Laurent settled there in 1850 as a champagne producer, sold at the time to merchants. Generations have succeeded each other and have preserved the know-how, the traditions, as well as the methods of vine cultivation of their wine-growing ancestors.

Made from Chardonnay grapes, Blanc de Blancs Réserve is a four-year blend aged for several years in the cellar. This grape variety brings finesse and delicacy to this exquisite champagne.

Tasting Notes:
Melon, brioche and honey aromas on the nose, with light floral notes. Fine bubble texture on the palate, ending with a long, lingering finish. Great as an aperitif, or with seafood or rich, white meats such as veal.
