Podere Il Carnasciale is a highly acclaimed, family-run estate located in Tuscany’s Valdarno di Sopra region, famous for its cult-status "Caberlot" grape. The 2022 Ottantadue Sangiovese is a 100% Sangiovese cuvée crafted with 20% whole-cluster fermentation and aged entirely in stainless steel to preserve maximum freshness. Inspired by the light, elegant style of Beaujolais and red Burgundy, it opens with high-toned aromas of wild strawberries, pomegranate, and violets. On the crunchy palate, vibrating acidity and fine-grained, grippy tannins frame flavors of tart black cherry, blood orange, and savory wild herbs, earning critical acclaim and a 92-point rating from Vinous.
