From an exceptional vintage, this classically styled Chablis is infused with some well judged 2018 ripeness. Jean Marc Brocard is a legend in Chablis, and this mineral driven, racy, citrus fruited Chablis proves exactly why!
About the Wine

Tasting Notes

A whiff of exoticism suffuses the ultra-fresh white orchard fruit, floral and softly spicy nose. The medium weight flavors are not quite as concentrated as those of the old vines 1946 but they are finer while delivering good if not special depth and persistence.
Burghound: 89-91
The 2018 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru is dense, powerful and textured, but also a bit shy because of its recent bottling. Even so, the 2018 offers terrific energy and plenty of verve. White flowers and winter citrus come together in a creamy and sensual wine with terrific persistence and class. Understated yet textured, the Fourchaume is an impeccably balanced Chablis.
Vinous: 91
About The Wine

Downstream of the Serein, the river which runs through the Chablis vineyards, the Fourchaume terroir has a richer soil than the rest of the vineyard, due to the alluvial soils which are washed by the river.  This makes for more flattering, pleasant and supple wines that still carry the mineral quality of the Chablis.

Tasting Notes-

Golden green. Fresh nose with toasted notes.
In the mouth: saline notes, mineral and candied lemon aromas.
A refined and elegant wine.
